The Muslim World League welcomes the Security Council's condemnation of the Houthi terrorist militia's aggression against Saudi Arabia.

Makkah Al-Mukarramah (UNA) – The Muslim World League welcomed the statement issued by the members of the Security Council on Friday, August 7, 2026, condemning the attacks launched by the terrorist Houthi militia against the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and against commercial ships.

In a statement issued by the General Secretariat of the League, His Excellency the Secretary-General, Chairman of the Muslim Scholars Association, Sheikh Dr. Muhammad bin Abdulkarim Al-Issa, noted the statement’s emphasis on the need to adhere to international law and relevant Security Council resolutions, foremost among them Resolution 2216, and to respect the sovereignty, unity, independence and territorial integrity of the Republic of Yemen, and to reject actions that threaten regional security and maritime navigation.

His Eminence renewed – on behalf of the League’s assemblies, bodies and global councils, and on behalf of all the Islamic peoples under its umbrella – the affirmation of full solidarity with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in all the measures it takes to deter aggressors, preserve its security and sovereignty, and the safety of its citizens and residents on its territory, as well as full solidarity and support for the efforts of the legitimate Yemeni government, and all international efforts aimed at achieving security and stability for Yemen and its people.
