The Saudi Media Forum launches the “Production Market” to connect content creators with buyers and producers.

Riyadh (UNA) – The Saudi Media Forum announced the launch of the “Production Market” initiative, as a specialized business platform aimed at enhancing the economic value of media content, by connecting content creators with buyers, major producers and decision-makers in the media sector locally, regionally and internationally, during the period from 1 to 3 February in Riyadh, within the “Fomax” exhibition accompanying the Forum days.

The “Production Market” brings together major production companies, producers, and rights holders, along with digital platforms, television channels, media networks, and entities involved in buying and displaying content, in a specialized destination that brings together the parties involved in the content industry and trade.

The marketplace allows for the display of content ready for distribution, display rights, projects in development, and co-production opportunities. It also works to transform meetings and opportunities into actual deals and partnerships through a dedicated buyer program and pre-scheduled business meetings.

Mohammed bin Fahd Al-Harthi, Chairman of the Saudi Media Forum, said: “The Kingdom today is the largest content market in the region in terms of production and demand, and it is natural that it should embrace the market where its deals are made. We are starting with a first edition that focuses on the quality of buyers before the number of participants, to establish a model whose impact expands year after year.”

The launch of the “Production Market” comes within the forum’s direction towards strengthening the content economy and expanding the horizons of the media industry, which supports the growth of the sector, empowers the private sector, attracts investments, and opens new paths for Saudi content to regional and international markets.

The market contributes to consolidating the Kingdom’s position as a growing center for the content industry in the region, and enhancing its ability to attract media projects and investments, in line with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030 in developing creative industries and building a diversified economy based on knowledge and innovation.

The “Production Market” is being held as part of the sixth edition of the Saudi Media Forum, and registration has been opened for buyers and content creators through the Saudi Media Forum website.
