King Saud University signs a memorandum of understanding with the Professional Association of Statisticians and Data Scientists

Riyadh (UNA) – King Saud University signed a memorandum of understanding with the Professional Association of Statisticians and Data Scientists (PASDS), with the aim of enhancing joint cooperation in the fields of statistics, data science and artificial intelligence, and developing scientific and professional initiatives that support building national capabilities and empowering specialized competencies.

The agreement was signed on behalf of the university president by the university’s vice president for educational and academic affairs, Professor Dr. Nasser bin Mohammed Al-Daghri, while the association was represented by the chairman of the board of directors, Dr. Faisal bin Mohammed Al-Sharabi.

The memorandum seeks to support training programs, research and consulting activities, and to promote the exchange of experiences and knowledge between the two sides, in addition to developing joint initiatives that contribute to keeping pace with rapid digital transformations and raising the level of professional qualification in disciplines related to data and statistics.

Dr. Faisal Al-Sharabi pointed out that this agreement reflects the importance of integration between universities and professional associations in building a knowledge system that is more related to the needs of the future, stressing that data science and statistics have become a pivotal element in supporting development, decision-making and achieving institutional efficiency.

Both sides also affirmed their commitment to strengthening sustainable cooperation that contributes to supporting the objectives of #Saudi_Vision_2030, through investment in knowledge, innovation and the development of national human capital.
