
Jeddah (UNA) – The Permanent Representative of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, Dr. Saleh bin Hamad Al-Suhaibani, received at the delegation’s headquarters in Jeddah Governorate Dr. Yousef bin Hassan Al-Khalawi, Secretary General of the Islamic Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture.
The meeting reviewed the most prominent efforts of the Islamic Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture, which it implements to serve the member states of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, in addition to its various projects such as the Federation of Business Owners, investments, the Zakat Fund, and other projects. It also reviewed the Chamber’s efforts in coordinating between the Islamic Chambers of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture within the member states of the Organization. The meeting also addressed the movement led by the Chamber towards developing relations and advancing economic capabilities to confront Islamic challenges.
It is worth mentioning that the Islamic Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture is one of the bodies affiliated with the Organization of Islamic Cooperation and is headquartered in the city of Karachi in the Islamic Republic of Pakistan. Its Board of Directors is chaired by Professor Abdullah Saleh Kamel. It also has a regional office in Jeddah Governorate, which has contributed to increasing the diversity of its programs that serve the member states of the organization and its projects, as well as coordinating efforts between the federations of chambers of commerce and industry and representatives of the private sector in the member states, which play a fundamental role in the economic development of those countries.
