Abuja (UNA) - A high-level conference on combating terrorism in Africa was held in the Nigerian capital, Abuja, with the participation of Nigerian President Bola Tinubu, Togolese President Faure Gnassingbe, and Ghanaian President Nana Akufo-Addo.

The conference, which was held with the support of the United Nations Office of Counter-Terrorism, addressed supporting cooperation with regional organizations in order to respond to the expanding threat of terrorism in Africa and the challenges and issues related to terrorism, as well as the innovative mechanisms that must be adopted to combat this scourge.

The conference aims to strengthen multilateral cooperation to combat terrorism and reshape the international community's collective response to combating terrorism in Africa, while emphasizing the importance of African solutions.
