MALE (UNA) – The Government of the Maldives has strongly condemned the multiple airstrikes that targeted Saudi Arabia on Sunday and Monday. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement: “This deliberate act, which appears to have targeted civilian areas, threatens the security of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the stability of the region, and the recurrence of such terrorist attacks negatively impacts the efforts of the parties concerned to find a peaceful solution to the conflicts in the region. The Government of the Maldives affirmed its solidarity with the people and government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and affirmed its firm commitment to combating terrorism in all its forms and manifestations.” ((End))
