Ambassador Shibli and the Executive Director of the Islamic Solidarity Fund discuss ways of joint cooperation.

Jeddah (UNA/WAFA) – The Permanent Representative of the State of Palestine to the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, Ambassador Hadi Shibli, discussed with the Executive Director of the Islamic Solidarity Fund, Mohammed bin Suleiman Aba Al-Khail, ways to enhance cooperation and coordination between the delegation and the fund.

The meeting, which was held at the headquarters of the Permanent Mission in Jeddah, and attended by Second Secretary Athar Omari, also addressed the follow-up on the implementation of projects approved for the State of Palestine by the Fund, in addition to reviewing the projects included on the Fund’s agenda for next year, and mechanisms for developing support provided to vital sectors in Palestine.

The meeting explored opportunities to launch new initiatives and programs that contribute to strengthening the resilience of our Palestinian people and meeting their developmental and humanitarian needs in light of the current challenges..

Both sides emphasized the importance of continuing joint cooperation to ensure the efficient and effective implementation of approved projects, and to strengthen the role of the Islamic Solidarity Fund in supporting the Palestinian people and consolidating their steadfastness on their land..

This meeting comes within the framework of the efforts of the State of Palestine's delegation to the Organization of Islamic Cooperation to strengthen partnerships with the organization's various institutions, in a way that serves Palestinian national interests and supports development and resilience in Palestine..
