Ramallah (UNA/WAFA) – The United Nations Inter-Agency Standing Committee on Humanitarian Affairs called on the Israeli occupation state on Friday to “stop its attacks against Palestinians and humanitarian relief teams in the Gaza Strip.”
In a statement, the committee described the situation in northern Gaza as “horrific” due to the ongoing Israeli blockade for about a month, stressing that citizens are being deprived of basic relief supplies..
She pointed out that all Palestinians in northern Gaza “are at risk of death from disease, famine and violence.”
She pointed out that humanitarian relief teams are not safe, and that the Israeli occupation "prevents them from reaching those in need in Gaza."
She stressed the need to facilitate access to humanitarian aid, calling for “an end to attacks against civilians and civilian infrastructure in Gaza.”
