The occupation arrests 35 citizens from the West Bank

Ramallah (UNA/WAFA) - Last night and at dawn on Thursday, the Israeli occupation forces launched a massive arrest campaign, targeting at least 35 citizens from the West Bank, including a woman and a girl, children and former detainees.

The Prisoners' and Ex-Prisoners' Affairs Authority and the Prisoners' Club explained, in a joint statement, that the arrest operations were concentrated in the governorates of Hebron, Nablus, and Ramallah, while the rest were distributed among the governorates of Jenin, Tubas, Jericho, and Jerusalem.

They pointed out that the occupation forces abused citizens during the arrest operations, assaulted the detainees and their families, subjected some of them to field investigation, and destroyed their homes.

With the arrest of the 35 citizens, the total number of arrests since the start of the aggression against the Gaza Strip on October 2023, 9890, rises to more than XNUMX in the West Bank, which included all segments of society, noting that this number includes those who were arrested from homes and through military checkpoints. , those who were forced to surrender themselves under pressure, and those who were held hostage.
