Bahrain affirms its support for the Palestinians with all its capabilities

Manama (UNA) - Bahrain has affirmed that it has used its diplomacy and membership in various United Nations bodies to support the Palestinian cause and the struggle of the Palestinian people to achieve their inalienable rights. In a speech during the celebration held by the United Nations House in Manama on the occasion of the International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People, Bahraini Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for Regional Affairs Wahid Mubarak Sayyar said: We in the Kingdom of Bahrain are deeply concerned by the continued practice of the Israeli occupation of its policies based on killing, blockade and settlement, which constitute a blatant challenge to the international community and a flagrant violation of United Nations resolutions and international conventions, disregarding the extent of the painful human suffering it inflicts on the Palestinian people and its threat to international peace and security, which leads to keeping the Middle East region under the burden of tension and the absence of security and stability, which no party in the region can benefit from, as trying to impose a fait accompli by force will only lead to more tension and violence. He stressed that his country will continue to support the Palestinian brothers with all its capabilities and in all forums, full of hope that we will see the day when the goals and aspirations of the Palestinian people are achieved to live in peace and security in a free, independent and sovereign state, and when all countries in the region enjoy prosperity and flourishing. He stressed that Bahrain calls on the international community to assume its historical, humanitarian and moral responsibility by exerting more efforts to obtain the inalienable rights of the Palestinian people and achieve a just and comprehensive peace in the region in accordance with the relevant United Nations resolutions, the two-state solution, the terms of reference of the peace process and the 2002 Arab Peace Initiative.
