Riyadh (UNA/SPA) – His Excellency the Secretary-General of the Council of Senior Scholars, Secretary-General of the Permanent Committee for Fatwas, and General Supervisor of the Office of His Eminence the Grand Mufti of the Kingdom, Sheikh Dr. Fahd bin Saad Al-Majed, visited the branch of the General Presidency for Scientific Research and Ifta in the Madinah region.
His Excellency toured the branch departments, learning about the beneficiaries’ experience in obtaining a Sharia ruling, and reviewed the mechanisms for receiving and processing inquiries, stressing that delivering the ruling accurately and in a timely manner is a religious and institutional duty that the Presidency is keen to achieve.
His Excellency stressed that the field is the true test of performance, and that actual development stems from direct observation of reality and understanding what the beneficiary is suffering from, noting that the branches of the Presidency represent the front line of the Presidency in serving members of society.
In discussing the importance of these tasks, His Excellency explained that disseminating reliable fatwas and facilitating access to them in various regions of the Kingdom is an authentic support for the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 goals in promoting Islamic values and consolidating national identity.
