Madani receives the Ambassador and Permanent Representative of Sierra Leone to the Islamic Cooperation

Jeddah (INA) – The Secretary-General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, Mr. Iyad Amin Madani, received in his office at the headquarters of the General Secretariat in the city of Jeddah, yesterday, Wednesday (24 February 2016), Mr. Haji Mohamed Salah Kargbo, Ambassador of Sierra Leone to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and its permanent representative to the Organization of Cooperation. Islamic. The two sides discussed bilateral cooperation between the organization and Sierra Leone and explored ways and means to enhance it. They also reviewed regional and international issues of common concern. During the meeting, the envoy briefed the Secretary-General on his country's post-Ebola programme, which is under implementation, and requested the support of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation in this regard. The interview also dealt with a review of the ongoing preparations for the extraordinary summit on Palestine, to be held in Jakarta, Indonesia, on March 6 and 7, 2016, and the thirteenth regular session of the Islamic Summit Conference, to be held in Istanbul, Turkey, from 10 to 15 April 2016.
