Seminar on Jerusalem at Zagazig University in Egypt

Rabat (INA) – The Center for Israeli Studies at the Egyptian University of Zagazig, in cooperation with the Arab Association for Civilization and the Arts, is organizing a symposium entitled: Jerusalem’s Civilizational Status and Mechanisms for Enhancing its Arabism, on February 25, at the university’s headquarters. In the symposium, research will be presented on confronting the Jewish misinterpretations about Jerusalem, the Arabism of Jerusalem: a study in the historical roots, the Judaization of Jerusalem 2020 plan: the Israeli vision and assessment, the importance of the Dome of the Rock and Al-Aqsa Mosque from a historical point of view, and Jerusalem, its status and the legality of visiting it. The Islamic Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ISESCO) is represented in the symposium by Dr. Salah El-Din Al-Jaafrawi, the cooperating expert, who will deliver the Director General's speech at the opening session.
