New Jersey (UNA/WAFA) – Activists and supporters of the Palestinian people organized a protest in Port Elizabeth, New Jersey, against the export and transfer of weapons to Israel. This event was part of a series of international activities taking place in ports around the world this week, demanding a halt to arms shipments to Israel..
According to the organizers, the actions involved more than 100 ports in at least 22 countries, with the participation of activists, port workers and labor unions..
The event included a motorcade inside the port area, during which participants raised demands to stop the transfer of weapons to Israel and the Palestinian flag, in addition to calling for a boycott of the Israeli shipping company “Zim”.
The organizers stressed that these moves come as part of an international solidarity campaign aimed at putting pressure to stop the export of weapons used in the war on the Gaza Strip, and highlighting the role of ports and shipping companies in the transfer of military equipment to the occupying state.
