Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Pakistan, and Turkey condemn the ongoing hostile attacks launched by the Houthi militia against the Kingdom.

Riyadh (UNA/SPA) – The Quartet countries (the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the Arab Republic of Egypt, the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, and the Republic of Turkey) condemned the ongoing hostile attacks launched by the Houthi militia against the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, including the heinous attacks that targeted King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh, which resulted in the death and injury of a number of civilians, as well as damage to infrastructure and civilian facilities, which constitutes a flagrant violation of international law.

The group reiterated in a joint statement that these attacks represent a blatant assault on the Kingdom’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, a direct threat to its security, stability and the safety of civilians, and a dangerous escalation that cannot be justified or accepted under any pretext.

The group also affirmed its full solidarity with the Kingdom and its support for all legitimate measures and steps it is taking to confront these attacks, deter sources of threat, and prevent their recurrence, in defense of the Kingdom’s security, sovereignty, and territorial integrity, and to protect the safety of its citizens and residents, in accordance with the Charter of the United Nations and international law.

The group holds the Houthi militia fully responsible for these attacks and their repercussions that threaten regional and international peace and security, and demands an immediate and unconditional cessation of these attacks.
