Pakistan condemns terrorist attacks by the Houthi militia on Saudi Arabia

Islamabad (UNA/APP) – Pakistan strongly condemned the terrorist attacks launched by the Houthi militia targeting civilian and economic sites in the Saudi cities of Abha, Khamis Mushait, Jazan and Najran. The Pakistani Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in a statement yesterday, affirmed that these attacks constitute a blatant violation of the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and a serious threat to the security and stability of the entire region, as well as undermining efforts to achieve a peaceful and lasting settlement to the conflict in Yemen. The Pakistani Foreign Ministry reiterated Pakistan’s firm position of support for the Kingdom’s sovereignty, security and prosperity, and its full solidarity with the leadership, government and people of the Kingdom.

She expressed her sincere wishes for a speedy and full recovery for all those injured in these attacks. The statement clarified that, in accordance with the UN Charter and international law, Pakistan fully supports the Kingdom’s legitimate right to take all necessary measures to defend its territory, protect its citizens and residents, and safeguard its national assets against any threat. The Pakistani Foreign Ministry stressed that Pakistan continues to exert all possible efforts to achieve lasting peace and stability in the region.
