Riyadh (UNA/SPA) – The Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s strong condemnation and denunciation of the targeting of a site in the Khartoum airport area.
The ministry said in a statement: “The Kingdom affirms its firm position in calling for the preservation of the unity of Sudan, its legitimate institutions, the resources of its brotherly people, and its security and stability, and stresses the importance of keeping civilian objects and vital facilities away from the conflict.”
The Kingdom called on the parties to de-escalate, immediately cease these violations, and respect the commitments made in the Jeddah Declaration signed on May 11, 2023, regarding the protection of civilians and civilian objects, and international humanitarian law.
The Kingdom also called on Sudan’s neighboring countries to respect Sudan’s sovereignty and independence and to prevent their territories from being used as a launching pad for these attacks.
