​​​​​​The formation of the Islamic Military Alliance to Combat Terrorism was initiated by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and announced by His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, in December 2015, with the aim of unifying the efforts of Islamic countries in confronting terrorism.​​​​The Chiefs of Staff of the Islamic countries affirmed, at a meeting held in Riyadh in March 2016, their determination to intensify their efforts in combating terrorism through joint action according to their capabilities, and based on the desire of each member state to participate in initiatives or programs within the framework of the Islamic Military Alliance to Combat Terrorism in accordance with the policies and procedures of each state, and without prejudice to the sovereignty of the member states of the alliance. They also stressed the importance of activating the launch of the alliance through a meeting of the defense ministers of the member states.

Major General Pilot Mohammed bin Saeed Al-Maghidi

During his career, Major General Pilot Al-Maghidi received a number of medals and decorations, including the King Faisal Medal, Third Class, the Military Appreciation Medal, First Class, and the Kuwait Liberation Medal and Medal.
Major General Pilot Al-Moghidi holds a Master’s degree in Military Sciences from the Command and Staff College in Riyadh, and a Master’s degree from the Islamic Republic of Pakistan in National Defense and Strategic Studies, in addition to a number of specialized courses in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and abroad.
