Doha (UNA/QNA) – The State of Qatar expressed its strong condemnation of the repeated Israeli violations of the ceasefire in the Gaza Strip, which resulted in a number of martyrs and wounded, in a dangerous escalation that would inflame the situation and undermine regional and international efforts aimed at establishing calm and restoring stability in the Strip.
The Qatari Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirmed in a statement on Saturday that the continuation of these violations represents a direct threat to the existing political process and hinders efforts to create a more secure and stable environment for the afflicted Palestinian brothers in the Gaza Strip, stressing the need for Israel to fully commit to the ceasefire agreement in order to ensure the success of the second phase of the plan of His Excellency US President Donald Trump and the implementation of Security Council Resolution No. (2803).
The ministry also called on all parties to exercise maximum restraint, avoid any steps that would undermine ongoing efforts, and create the appropriate conditions for launching the early recovery and reconstruction phase in the Gaza Strip.
