The Arab League holds an extraordinary session to discuss Arab action to halt the Israeli aggression on Gaza.

Cairo (UNA/SPA) - The extraordinary session of the Arab League Council at the level of permanent delegates was held today at the headquarters of the General Secretariat of the League of Arab States in Cairo, to discuss Arab and international efforts to compel Israel to stop its crimes and aggression against the Palestinian people.

The Kingdom was represented at the meeting by its Deputy Permanent Representative to the League of Arab States, Fahd bin Khalid Al-Khameli.

The emergency session discussed a memorandum submitted by the State of Palestine regarding Arab and international action following the resumption of Israel, the occupying power, to commit crimes of aggression, genocide, and ethnic cleansing against the Palestinian people. It also addressed the repercussions of the Israeli occupation authorities' decisions to cut off electricity to the Gaza Strip and prevent the entry of humanitarian, medical, and relief aid into the Strip.
