Jerusalem (UNA/WAFA) – Palestinian worker Raafat Abdul Aziz Abdullah Hammad, 35, died of severe injuries after falling from the fifth floor of a construction site in occupied Jerusalem, following his pursuit by Israeli occupation forces.
The martyr's brother, Abdullah Hammad, said that the family refused the occupation authorities' request to conduct an autopsy on the body, noting that the occupation is still withholding his body under the pretext of "identity verification."
Hammad added that the martyr's body will be buried in his hometown of Silwad, east of Ramallah, as soon as it is received. He noted that the martyr was a father of three children (the oldest of whom is 6 years old and the youngest of whom is XNUMX year old).
The Jerusalem Governorate stated that this crime "comes within the context of a systematic policy pursued by the occupation forces against Palestinian workers, who are forced to endure the risks of jumping over the apartheid wall, while the forces continue to fire directly at them or target them with tear gas and sound bombs, leading to the martyrdom and injury of dozens over the past months."
