Ramallah (UNA/WAFA) – The Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates said that the international failure to stop the war of extermination and displacement and to respect and ensure the implementation of international legitimacy resolutions encourages the far-right government in Israel to publicly boast about its positions calling for the annexation of large parts of the West Bank and demanding world recognition of it.
In a statement issued today, Thursday, it stressed that the Palestinian people will thwart the annexation and displacement plans as they thwarted their predecessors.
The Ministry stressed that it will continue its political, diplomatic and international legal movement to mobilize a real international front to pressure the occupation to stop the war of extermination and displacement against the Palestinians, and to start a multi-party political path that leads to ending the occupation and embodying the Palestinian state on the ground, in implementation of the decision of the United Nations General Assembly that adopted the advisory opinion of the International Court of Justice.
She continued: The Israeli government began to issue a torrent of statements and positions regarding its expansionist colonial ambitions and projects calling for the annexation of the occupied West Bank or parts of it, as trial balloons to examine international reactions and the positions of countries in this regard, in an attempt to create a climate conducive to committing this heinous crime, and to remove the political, legal and humanitarian necessity to stop the war of extermination and displacement from the scale of international concerns.
The ministry pointed out that the Israeli government seeks to rearrange the priorities of the region and the world according to its map of interests in continuing the war of extermination, displacement and liquidation of the Palestinian cause, and undermining any opportunity to implement the two-state solution and embody the Palestinian state on the ground, as the occupation is at the same time escalating its illegal unilateral measures on the ground, from seizing lands, demolishing homes, paving more colonial roads and others, the latest of which was the demolition of 8 homes in Silwan in Jerusalem as part of a plan to demolish an entire neighborhood and displace approximately 1,500 citizens.
