Ramallah (UNA/WAFA) - The Ministry of Endowments and Religious Affairs said that the Israeli occupation stormed the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque in the city of Jerusalem 23 times, and prevented the call to prayer in the Ibrahimi Mosque in the city of Hebron 43 times last July.
The Ministry of Endowments stated in its monthly report on “the occupation’s violations of Al-Aqsa Mosque and the Ibrahimi Mosque,” on Sunday, that the occupation forces and colonialists escalated their attacks on Al-Aqsa Mosque during the past month, in terms of the number of incursions and intruders, and the issuance of dangerous Judaization plans that affected Al-Aqsa Mosque and the Old City.
She pointed out that the same month witnessed the storming of Al-Aqsa Mosque by the extremist Bin Ghafir, during which he called for encouraging colonists’ raids into the mosque and the performance of Talmudic rituals there, in an attempt to impose a new policy to change the existing situation in Al-Aqsa..
The Endowments indicated in its report that the occupation authorities prevented the call to prayer 43 times, in the Ibrahimi Mosque, as part of their repeated attempts to impose a temporal and spatial division on it.
She pointed out that the occupation forces continued their attacks on the Ibrahimi Mosque, by repeatedly storming it, ascending to its roof, and not allowing worshipers, expatriates, and employees of the Mosque to enter it, and also closed its eastern gate.
In a dangerous step, the occupation forces roofed the exposed part of the courtyard of the Ibrahimi Mosque, located in the occupied section, which is considered the only outlet for the Mosque and the Ishaqiya prayer hall in particular, on Thursday, 11/7/2024. The attack was removed within 24 hours of its date through joint efforts from the Ministry of Endowments, the Hebron Governorate and their institutions.
