Rabat (INA) – The Moroccan city of Rabat will host tomorrow, Thursday, the work of the emergency meeting of the Arab Parliamentary Union, to discuss Israeli violations in the occupied city of Jerusalem and Al-Aqsa Mosque, with the participation of the Speaker of the Arab Parliament, Dr. Mishaal Al-Salami, at the head of a parliamentary delegation. A statement by the Arab Parliament stated that Dr. Mishaal Al-Salami will explain, in a speech to the heads of Arab parliaments and councils, the Arab Parliament’s follow-up to the serious repercussions of the Israeli attacks against the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque. In addition to sending urgent telegrams to the heads of regional parliaments, the European Parliament, the Pan-African Parliament, the Parliament of Latin American countries, the Asian Parliamentary Assembly, the Parliamentary Assembly of the Mediterranean, and the Union for the Mediterranean, as well as asking the Arab Parliament for these parliaments and associations to shoulder their legal, moral and humanitarian responsibilities, And work to take immediate measures against what the occupying state, Israel, is doing, and work immediately by pressuring it to open the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque immediately in front of worshipers without any obstacles, and to prevent it from continuing to commit more crimes against the Palestinian people and their sanctities. Al-Salami also reviews his contacts with the Secretary-General of the League of Arab States, the President of the Arab Inter-Parliamentary Union, and the President of the Palestinian National Council, to consider what steps can be taken to deter the blatant Israeli attacks, and their serious repercussions on the status of the city of Jerusalem and the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque. The President of the Arab Parliament affirmed that the Palestinian issue will remain the first and pivotal cause of the Arabs, as it touches the heart and conscience of every free person in this world, pointing out that the Israeli occupation state is the only country in the world that still practices the abhorrent racist occupation, and that supporting the steadfastness of our people in Jerusalem is a religious, national, moral and human duty, which requires closing ranks, mobilizing determination, uniting Arab efforts, and overcoming differences to address these challenges, especially among the people and factions of the Palestinian people.
