Morocco (UNA) – Ambassador Khalid Fath Al Rahman, Director of the Center for Civilizational Dialogue at the Islamic World Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ICESCO), delivered a lecture entitled: “Post-Globalization Thinking” at the Faculty of Arts and Humanities at Cadi Ayyad University in Marrakech, Kingdom of Morocco, on the occasion of the opening of the new academic year.
During the lecture yesterday, Monday (October 7, 2024), the Director of the ISESCO Centre for Civilizational Dialogue presented evidence of the decline of the “age of globalization” in favor of a new structural formation that the world is witnessing the beginnings of, presenting a systematic critique of the concept of globalization and the attempts at unilateral ideological stereotyping that accompanied it, based on Western theory with its two pillars of economic capitalism and political democracy, and the threat that these two pillars were exposed to as a result of Western behavior itself.
He shed more light on the topic of “thinking”, considering it a complex system that belongs to the concept of the world of ideas with all its requirements of intentionality and seriousness, in order to produce methodological visions that adhere to the scientific framework, calling on students and professors to exert the utmost effort in the context of creating modern concepts at a juncture in time that provides an opportunity for this type of intellectual creativity, just as ISESCO adopted in creating the concept of “civilizational diplomacy.”
The lecture was attended by Dr. Abdul Jalil Al-Kuraifa, Dean of the College, the Vice Dean, and a group of university professors and students of arts and humanities.
