The World Bank ranks Saudi Arabia among the top ten countries globally in private investment in artificial intelligence.

Riyadh (UNA/SPA) – The World Bank cited the role of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, represented by the Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority (SDAIA), in building an integrated data system and supporting its integration among government agencies in the Kingdom, reviewing the Saudi experience in the field of data and artificial intelligence, considering it a model to be emulated in building the digital infrastructure for data and artificial intelligence.

This came in the World Development Report 2026 issued by the World Bank Group entitled “The Promise of Artificial Intelligence”, noting in its report that “SDAIA” enables the integration of data from more than (60) government entities while keeping the data within its systems, and placing this experience within the models that support the exchange of data in an organized manner between government entities.

The report also addressed the Kingdom’s experience in the global artificial intelligence landscape, placing it among the top ten countries globally in private investment in artificial intelligence, and highlighting it as an attractive destination for specialized talents, reflecting an integrated national path established by Saudi Vision 2030 to build an economy based on data, computing, and innovation.

In terms of capabilities, the report stated that in 2025 the Kingdom recorded an advanced presence in attracting specialized talents, among the economies that recorded the highest net flow rates of artificial intelligence workers per (10) thousand members on the “LinkedIn” platform. It also recorded a net flow of (3.08) within the elite category of artificial intelligence talents in the same year, reflecting the attractiveness of the Saudi technological environment for quality expertise.

The publication of this report coincides with the naming of 2026 as the “Year of Artificial Intelligence” in the Kingdom, which reflects the national interest in data and artificial intelligence technologies and their role in supporting development and innovation and enhancing competitiveness, in order to achieve the goals of Saudi Vision 2030.
