Ministry of Social Development and UNICEF discuss areas of cooperation in child development services in the Sultanate of Oman

Muscat (UNA/Omani) - The Sultanate of Oman, represented by the Ministry of Social Development and the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) office in Muscat, discussed areas of cooperation in various aspects related to child development services.

This came during the reception of Dr. Laila bint Ahmed Al Najjar, Minister of Social Development, in her office today, of Sumaira Chowdhury, representative of the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) office in Muscat.

During the meeting, the country programme document between the Sultanate of Oman and UNICEF was discussed, as well as the action plan it includes related to child protection programmes, early childhood development, children with disabilities, and other childhood programmes that will be implemented during the next phase, in addition to reviewing the achievements witnessed by this sector in the Sultanate of Oman.
