RIYADH (UNA) – Yemeni Minister of Information, Culture and Tourism Moammar Al-Eryani revealed that the Houthi militia is looting interests and banks in the city of Al-Bayda, central Yemen. Al-Eryani explained to the Yemeni News Agency (Saba) that the Houthi militia is looting tens of billions from branches of the Central Bank of Yemen and the Cooperative Credit Bank (government banks) and executive and revenue offices in the city of Al-Bayda (the administrative capital of Al-Bayda Governorate) on board crews and transporting them outside the governorate. Al-Eryani pointed out that information received from sources in the city confirms that leaders and supervisors of the Houthi militia are selling a number of properties and moving their families and fleeing from the city of Al-Bayda towards the city of Rada’a. He added: These movements are taking place in conjunction with pressures exerted by the Houthi militia on sheikhs and tribes in the districts under its control in Al-Bayda Governorate to mobilize fighters and strengthen its collapsed fronts.
