The Union of Radio and Television of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) was established with the approval of the Sixth Conference of Foreign Ministers of Islamic Countries in 1395 AH / 1975 AD, and its General Secretariat was formed in mid-1395 AH / 1977 AD. The Union operates within a professional framework, activating peaceful coexistence and adherence to and belief in collective action, within the framework of the objectives of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation. The Union includes 57 Islamic countries in its membership.

Mr. Dr. Amr Mamdouh El-Leithy
A prominent media professional and academic, with extensive experience in managing TV channels and presenting programs. He held leadership positions such as General Manager of MBC London, and Chairman of Al-Hayat, Al-Asema, and Al-Nahar channels. Professor of Media at prestigious Egyptian universities, and a consultant in the fields of media and culture. He holds a PhD in Art Criticism and presented famous programs, most notably “One of the People”. He has authored several books, won prestigious media awards, and is considered one of the most influential figures in media and social work in Egypt.
