It aims to preserve the cultural and historical heritage of the Islamic world through research, publications, and cultural events. It seeks to promote awareness of Islamic identity and cultural cooperation among member states.

Dr. Mahmoud Arol Kilij
Born in 1961 in Istanbul, Prof. Dr. Mahmut Erol Kılıç graduated from the Faculty of Political Science, Istanbul University in 1985. He specialized in Islamic Philosophy and Sufism, wrote the first doctoral thesis in this field in Turkey, and published numerous books and articles. He currently teaches at the Institute of Sufism Studies, Üsküdar University, and is fluent in several languages.
