Shusha (UNA) – The Director General of the Union of OIC News Agencies (UNA), Mr. Mohammed bin Abdulrab Al-Yami, met today, Monday, July 13, 2026, with the Director General and Editor-in-Chief of the Oman News Agency, Mr. Ibrahim bin Salem Al-Salmi.
The meeting, which took place on the sidelines of the fourth edition of the Shusha Global Media Forum, which kicked off on Monday, July 13, 2026 in the city of Shusha, Azerbaijan, discussed issues of common interest, ways to enhance media cooperation between the two sides, and reviewed opportunities to develop professional partnerships and exchange experiences in a way that contributes to supporting joint media work.
Al-Yami stressed the Union’s keenness to expand cooperation with media institutions in the member states of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, in order to enhance the presence of professional media in the Islamic world and contribute to conveying the true picture of the developmental and cultural opportunities that abound in the member states.
