Jeddah (UNA) – The Chief Justice of Palestine, Head of the Sharia Judicial Council, and Advisor to the President for Religious Affairs and Islamic Relations, His Excellency Dr. Mahmoud Al-Habash, visited the headquarters of the Union of OIC News Agencies (UNA) in Jeddah on Monday, February 9, 2026. He was received by the Director General of UNA, Mr. Mohammed bin Abdulrab Al-Yami.
His Excellency was accompanied during the visit by the Permanent Representative of the State of Palestine to the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, Ambassador Hadi Shibli, Deputy Representative, First Counselor Nassim Al-Za’anin, and Second Secretary Athar Omari from the Permanent Mission.
During the meeting, discussions focused on strengthening media cooperation between the Union and the State of Palestine, as well as the importance of addressing media misinformation and the Union’s role in supporting the media messages of member states, especially regarding conveying the true picture of the Palestinian cause.
