Jeddah (UNA) – The Director General of the Union of News Agencies of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (UNA), Mr. Mohammed bin Abdulrab Al-Yami, received today, Wednesday, January 21, 2026, at the Union’s headquarters in Jeddah, the Consul General of the Sultanate of Oman, Deputy Permanent Representative to the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, His Excellency Counselor Salem bin Mohammed bin Khalifa Al-Busaidi.
The Omani Consul listened to an explanation from the Director General about UNA’s vision and the Union’s role as a major media platform for member states working to advance the media industry, based on Islamic and media values that urge transparency, credibility and tolerance, through providing courses, workshops and training programs that keep pace with the rapid development of digital media.
For his part, His Excellency the Consul praised the Union’s role in strengthening international media relations among member states of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, and enhancing professional ties among media professionals.
