Jeddah (UNA) – The Union of OIC News Agencies (UNA) will hold a virtual introductory meeting on Tuesday, January 6, 2026, to introduce the Independent Human Rights Commission of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation and launch the “Jeddah Declaration 2025 for Youth Empowerment, Development and Peace.”
This meeting, which will be translated into Arabic, English and French, comes as a dialogue and interactive platform that brings together the Independent Commission for Human Rights, represented by its Executive Director, Dr. Hadi bin Ali Al-Yami, news agencies in the member states of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, and strategic partners, with the aim of highlighting the Commission’s mission and regulatory competencies, reviewing its future vision, in addition to exploring opportunities for media and institutional cooperation in supporting the human rights system.
The launch of the “Jeddah Declaration” is also witnessed as a reference framework for cooperation between media institutions and human rights bodies, which enhances professionalism, consolidates the culture of human rights, and keeps pace with best international practices.
