Jeddah (UNA) – The Director General of the Union of OIC News Agencies (UNA), Mr. Mohammed bin Abdulrab Al-Yami, received today, Wednesday, December 31, 2025, at the Union’s headquarters in Jeddah, the Permanent Representative of the Islamic Republic of Iran to the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, His Excellency Ambassador Dr. Mohammad Hassan Sheikh Al-Islami.
During the meeting, His Excellency the Ambassador listened to an explanation of UNA’s vision, which focuses on the Union’s role as a major media platform for member states, and on advancing the media industry, based on Islamic and media values that urge transparency, credibility, and tolerance.
The meeting also witnessed a discussion of the aspirations of both parties towards strengthening cooperation and joint coordination, media consultation on a number of issues, in addition to addressing ways to enhance the current tireless efforts towards developing Islamic media work, and supporting the role played by the Union of OIC Member States (UNA) in serving member states.
