Jeddah (UNA) – The Union of OIC News Agencies (UNA) participated in the fifth session of the Conference of OIC Ministers Responsible for Water, under the theme “From Vision to Impact,” which was held in Jeddah from October 20 to 22, 2025, with the participation of a number of ministers and water experts from member states.
UNA also participated in the two-day senior staff meeting that preceded the formal sessions.
The conference sought to enhance cooperation and partnerships between member states and OIC affiliated bodies. It also discussed opportunities to enable modern technologies and digital transformation to support sustainable water resource planning and management efforts. It also explored the development of joint water initiatives and projects among OIC member states, stimulating investment and financing in the water sector, and exploring innovative and sustainable financing mechanisms, all of which contribute to enhancing water security and ensuring its sustainability in Islamic countries.
