UNA signs a media cooperation memorandum with the Dunya News Agency, affiliated with the Uzbek Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Tashkent (UNA) – The Union of News Agencies of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (UNA) signed a memorandum of media cooperation with the Dunya News Agency of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan, during an official meeting held in the capital, Tashkent.

The memorandum of cooperation was signed on behalf of UNA by its Director General, Mr. Mohammed bin Abdul Rabbo Al-Yami, and on behalf of Dunya News Agency by His Excellency Akror Burkhanov, Advisor to the Minister of Foreign Affairs and his Press Secretary.

The meeting reviewed UNA's executive plan, which aims to support the Republic of Uzbekistan in the media by promoting development and investment opportunities and enhancing its positive presence in the media landscape of OIC member states via the Union's platforms.

The memorandum aims to enhance media cooperation between the two sides in the areas of news exchange, joint coverage, implementation of training programs, and development of media content that reflects shared values ​​and strengthens the bonds of understanding between the peoples of the Islamic world.

Al-Yami emphasized that this memorandum represents a strategic step towards strengthening partnerships with Uzbek media institutions, and comes within the framework of the Union's commitment to supporting member states in highlighting their achievements at the regional and international levels through professional and reliable media.

For his part, Burkhanov commended UNA's role in building bridges of media cooperation between Islamic countries, expressing his hope that this memorandum would contribute to opening new horizons for communication, exchanging expertise, and strengthening joint media presence.
