Jeddah (UNA) - The Permanent Representative of the State of Palestine to the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), Ambassador Hadi Shalabi, visited the headquarters of the Union of News Agencies (UNA) in Jeddah on Sunday, April 20, 2025.
The Palestinian ambassador listened to an explanation from the Union's Director General, Mr. Mohammed bin Abdrabuh Al-Yami, about UNA's vision and role as a primary media platform for member states, and how it contributes to advancing the media industry, based on Islamic and media values that encourage transparency, credibility, and tolerance.
Al-Yami also reviewed UNA's role in providing strategic media consultations to OIC member states through representatives of official national news agencies.
For his part, Ambassador Shalabi praised the Union of News Agencies of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation's efforts in supporting Arab and Islamic issues through the media in general, and its increased interest in the Palestinian cause in particular, after the opening of the Union's first foreign office in Palestine.
