Federation of OIC News Agencies Holds Financial and Administrative Committee Meeting

The meeting was attended by the Chairman of the Financial and Administrative Committee of the Federation of News Agencies of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), His Excellency Mr. Majid bin Saad Al Majid, and the Director General of the Federation of News Agencies of the OIC, His Excellency Mr. Mohammed bin Abdul Rabbuh Al Yami, with the participation of representatives of news agencies in the member states of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan.، Federal Republic of Somalia, AndRepublic of the Gambia، The Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.

At the beginning of the meeting, the Chairman of the Committee, Majid bin Saad, welcomed the members of the Committee, thanking them for accepting the invitation to attend the meeting, and their keenness to carry out the tasks assigned to them within the framework of the arrangements regulating the work of the Union..

For his part, the Director General of the Union, Mohammed bin Abdul Rabbo Al-Yami, expressed in his speech his hope that the meeting would produce results that would support the Union and help it carry out the tasks assigned to it to enhance the joint media work of Islamic countries..

Al-Yami reviewed some of the Union’s achievements, programs and activities that it implemented during the past period, calling on member states to take the initiative to pay their contributions to the Union’s budget, to enable it to carry out the tasks assigned to it in promoting media work in the countries of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation..

During the meeting, the financial report of the Director General of the Federation was reviewed, the budget and final accounts for the years 2023 and 2024 were reviewed, in addition to approving the draft estimated budget of the Federation for the year 2025, in preparation for submitting it to the next session of the Executive Council and the General Assembly of the Federation..
