
Islamabad (UNA) – In the presence of His Excellency the Secretary General of the Muslim World League and Chairman of the Muslim Scholars Association Sheikh Dr. Mohammad bin Abdulkarim Al-Issa, the Union of OIC News Agencies (UNA) signed today, Sunday (January 12, 2025), a memorandum of cooperation with the Muslim World League.
The memorandum was signed during the international conference: “Girls’ Education in Muslim Societies: Challenges and Opportunities,” hosted by the Pakistani government and organized by the League in the Pakistani capital, Islamabad, with broad participation from regional and international organizations.
The memorandum was signed on behalf of the Unoin by the Director General, His Excellency Mr. Mohammed Bin Abd Rabbo Al-Yami, while it was signed on behalf of the Association by Counselor Abdul Karim Bakhsh.
The memorandum aims to coordinate between the two parties in launching media campaigns to raise awareness of girls’ right to education, and to enhance joint action by news agencies and media outlets in Islamic countries in this regard.
It is noteworthy that the memorandum comes within the framework of the international partnerships platform launched by the “Girls’ Education in Muslim Societies” conference, with the aim of transforming its outcomes into practical initiatives and tangible projects to support the cause of women’s and girls’ education.
