Jeddah (UNA) – The Union of News Agencies of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (UNA) signed, on Thursday, a Memorandum of Understanding with the Statistical, Economic and Social Research and Training Centre for Islamic Countries (SESRIC), in the presence of His Excellency the Secretary General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, Mr. Hussein Ibrahim Taha.
The memorandum was signed within the framework of the eighth annual meeting of the organization’s institutions, held in Jeddah over two days, December 4-5, 2024.
The memorandum was signed on behalf of the Federation by the Director General, Mr. Mohammed bin Abdul Rabbah Al-Yami, while it was signed on behalf of the SESRIC by the Director General of the Center, Zahra Murad Selcuk.
The memorandum aims to enhance cooperation between the two OIC bodies in the field of training and improving the capabilities of human resources in relevant institutions in the OIC countries.
It also aims to enhance knowledge and research exchange between the two sides, and to publish media statistics and studies related to the economic, social and cultural fields in the Islamic world.
