Jeddah (UNA) - His Excellency the Director General of the Union of News Agencies of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Countries (UNA), Mr. Mohammed Abd Rabbuh Al-Yami, received today at the Union’s headquarters in Jeddah a delegation headed by His Excellency Prof. Dr. Amr Al-Leithi, President of the Union of Radio and Television of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC-RTO) countries, who came to congratulate Al-Yami on his appointment as Director General for a new term.
Dr. Amr Al-Leithi expressed his sincere congratulations to Mr. Mohammed Al-Yami, wishing him all success in his duties.
During the meeting, the two parties discussed ways to enhance joint cooperation between the two federations in various media fields, in a way that contributes to achieving the desired goals of the two federations.
The two sides stressed the importance of coordination and cooperation between the two federations in the areas of exchanging expertise and information, and organizing joint events, in a way that serves the interests of the member states of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation.
Dr. Al-Laithi praised the work and plans of the “UNA” Union after listening to a detailed explanation of the development steps that the Union had recently implemented and the work plans for the next stage.
His Excellency Professor Al-Yami honored His Excellency Professor Dr. Amr Al-Leithi with the “UNA” Union Shield, confirming the strong relations between the two unions.
