Jeddah (UNA) - The Consul General of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, Permanent Representative to the Organization of Islamic Cooperation in Jeddah, Ambassador Mohammed Hamid, congratulated the Director General of the Union of News Agencies of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation Countries, Mr. Mohammed bin Abdrabuh Al-Yami, on the issuance of the decision to officially appoint him as Director General of the Union.
During his visit to the Union’s headquarters today, the Director General briefed the Jordanian delegate on some of the Union’s programmes and strategies for promoting media work in Islamic countries.
In turn, the Ambassador noted the Union's efforts to enhance the media presence of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation and its affiliated bodies.
During his visit, the Consul also discussed strengthening media relations between the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan and the Federation of News Agencies of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation.
