Jeddah (UNA) - His Excellency the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Migration and Tunisians Abroad, Mohamed Ali Nafti, visited, on Tuesday, the headquarters of the Union of News Agencies of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (UNA), in Jeddah.
During the visit, the Director General of the Union, Mohammed bin Abdul Rabbuh Al-Yami, briefed His Excellency the Tunisian Minister of Foreign Affairs on some of the Union’s programmes, activities and vision for serving the member states of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation in the media.
During the visit, aspects of cooperation between the Union and the Republic of Tunisia were reviewed, as well as the Union’s role in highlighting the achievements and capabilities of the Republic of Tunisia at various economic, cultural, historical and tourism levels.
The Tunisian Foreign Minister stressed the importance of the role played by the Union in serving Islamic countries through the media and defending their just causes, stressing Tunisia's keenness to cooperate with the Union and benefit from its programmes.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs was accompanied during the visit by the Ambassador of the Republic of Tunisia to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Permanent Representative to the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, Hisham Al-Furati, the Consul General of the Republic of Tunisia in Jeddah, Habib Ayyad, and the Deputy Permanent Representative of the Republic of Tunisia to the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, Fatima Bin Othman.
