Jeddah (UNA) - Oliver Wilcox, Chief of the Strategic Communications Section for Peace and Security Initiatives at the US State Department, visited the headquarters of the Union of News Agencies of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (UNA) yesterday, Sunday (October 27, 2024), where he was received by the Director General of the Union, His Excellency Mr. Mohammed bin Abdrabuh Al-Yami.
During the visit, a number of issues of common interest were reviewed, serving the goals of both sides in the field of media.
During the visit, a number of training programmes were discussed to qualify media professionals in the OIC member states, especially in the African Sahel region, in addition to discussing enhancing cooperation between the Union and international media agencies in the United States, in a way that contributes to enhancing understanding and confronting common challenges in the global media space.
