Jeddah (UNA) - A delegation from the Russian Federation visited the headquarters of the Union of News Agencies of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (UNA) today, Tuesday (October 22, 2024), where they were received by the Director General of the Union, His Excellency Mr. Mohammed bin Abdrabuh Al-Yami.
The delegation included Deputy Mufti of Crimea Asadullah Bayrov, Permanent Representative of Russia to the Organization of Islamic Cooperation His Excellency Ambassador Turko Daudov, Deputy Permanent Representative of Russia Askar Tabov, and Director of Protocol at the Permanent Mission of Russia Artem Khanani.
During the meeting, issues of common interest were reviewed, and aspects of cooperation between the Union and Russia, which holds observer status in the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, were discussed.
During the meeting, some of the contributions of Muslims in Russia were reviewed, within the framework of cooperation and coexistence in which Muslims enjoy their full rights.
The Director General of the Union noted the fruitful and effective relationship between the Union and Russia, which serves the common goals of both sides in the field of media.
