King Salman Global Academy for the Arabic Language showcases its programs and initiatives to visitors of Riyadh International Book Fair

Riyadh (UNA/SPA) - The King Salman Global Academy for the Arabic Language, during its participation in the Riyadh International Book Fair 2024, organized by the Ministry of Culture represented by the General Authority for Literature, Publishing and Translation, will review the role it plays in serving the Arabic language locally and globally, and will also allow visitors to the exhibition to view its various programs and initiatives in its four tracks.

The complex’s participation includes a pavilion displaying King Salman International Complex’s publications, which exceed 300 publications, including 30 recent publications.

As part of the cultural program accompanying the Riyadh International Book Fair 2024, the complex, in cooperation with “Cultural Channel”, is holding a symposium today entitled: “Camels and the Arabic Language”, which discusses the characteristics and nature of camels, and camels as a symbol of departure in Arabic poetry, with the participation of a group of academics, linguistic experts, and specialists, while the Secretary-General of the complex, Dr. Abdullah bin Saleh Al-Washmi, will participate tomorrow in a symposium organized by the General Authority for Literature, Publishing, and Translation, entitled “Language Academies: Roles and Challenges.”

The King Salman Global Academy for the Arabic Language’s participation in the Riyadh International Book Fair 2024 aims to enhance the status of the Arabic language and its culture, support the cultural content system, and highlight the Academy’s efforts in the fields of scientific publishing, in addition to celebrating the Arabic language and spreading it among the general public keen to participate in book fairs, enhancing the presence of the Arabic language, and spreading and enriching Arabic content, in accordance with the objectives of the Human Capacity Development Program - one of the programs to achieve the Kingdom’s Vision 2030.
