Secretary General of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf: The Saudi Media Forum embodies the global status that media in the Kingdom has achieved.

Riyadh (UNA/SPA) - The Secretary-General of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf, Mr. Jassim Mohammed Al-Budaiwi, confirmed that the Saudi Media Forum in its third edition, which brought together more than 2000 media professionals from various countries of the world, and the accompanying media exhibitions, sessions and workshops, reflects what it has achieved. Saudi media has an advanced and distinguished position on the global media map.

This came during his participation in the Saudi Media Forum 3, in the city of Riyadh today, which continues for two days, with the participation of a number of Their Highnesses, Excellencies, and a number of media professionals from various countries of the world.

He said: The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s hosting of many international and international events and conferences came as a result of hard work, insight into the future, and arming itself with the directives of the wise leadership of this good land.

He added that the Kingdom’s 2030 vision, which aims to build a prosperous future for future generations, and is based on the values ​​of hard work, persistence and innovation, and hosting many international events and conferences that embody its aspirations towards a bright future, and an ambitious vision that embraces progress and innovation, is the result of a wise forward-looking vision from the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques. King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, His Highness the Crown Prince, and the sincere and continuous efforts of the daughters and sons of the Kingdom.

He pointed out that the joint Gulf media aspect has been given attention since the first moment of the founding of the Cooperation Council, as the statute of the founding stipulated in its fourth article (cooperation and the establishment of similar systems in media affairs), and this comes in recognition of the leaders and leaders of the founding Council states, of the importance of working The joint Gulf media, the necessity of unifying media policies, and the efforts of Gulf media institutions to come up with unified media visions that serve and take into account the goals and message of establishing the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf.

He said: “Media cooperation between the Gulf countries not only enhances our image before the world, but also paves the way for greater rapprochement and understanding between our peoples, contributing to the realization of our common dreams towards looking forward to the future, for more progress and prosperity and enhancing solidarity and integration, and accordingly, in light of the boom that we are witnessing.” Social media on the one hand, and in light of many parties adopting policies to broadcast false information on the other hand, our Gulf cooperation to confront these toxic media waves has become imperative to protect our people, especially young people, from false information and the many harms it carries.”
