The Director General of “UNA” praises the World Congress of Media and its contributions to promoting tolerance and coexistence

Jeddah (UNA) - Acting Director General of the Union of News Agencies of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (UNA) His Excellency Mr. Mohammed bin Abed Rabbo Al-Yami stressed, on Wednesday, that the World Media Congress hosted by the UAE capital Abu Dhabi represents an opportunity for the media in the member states to learn about the latest technologies and best practices. In the field of media, it also promotes acquaintance and coexistence between different peoples and cultures. Al-Yami pointed out that the Congress, which is organized by the ADNEC Group in partnership with the Emirates News Agency and WAM, also comes to confirm the great and pivotal role of the United Arab Emirates under the leadership of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, in launching global projects and initiatives, pointing out that the Congress is a culmination. For years-long efforts during which the UAE was able to build an integrated international media system based on supporting development efforts, promoting tolerance and disseminating knowledge. Al-Yami praised the efforts of the member of the Federation, the Emirates News Agency, in organizing the Congress, explaining that these efforts confirm the excellence of the member news agencies and their leadership in exploring and adapting to transformations in the field of media work. It is noteworthy that the activities of the World Media Congress began yesterday, Tuesday, and will continue until Thursday (November 17, 2022), with the participation of more than 1200 leaders and pioneers of the media sector, specialists, influencers, experts, and thought symbols in the region and the world, representing 6 continents.
