Sabri: Zionist arrogance will not succeed in breaking the will of the Palestinian people

Jerusalem (INA) – The head of the Islamic Supreme Council in occupied Jerusalem, Sheikh Ikrima Sabri, affirmed that the Zionist attack today, Sunday, on Al-Aqsa Mosque is the most brutal and unprecedented so far, and it aims to break the will of our Palestinian people. In an interview with Arabs48, Sabri said that Israeli arrogance will not succeed in breaking our will because our people adhere to every belief and faith in Al-Aqsa, Jerusalem and Palestine, and will not give up their homeland no matter what sacrifices they make. He added: The Israeli occupation's continued profanation of Al-Aqsa is a heinous crime, and the responsibility to protect and defend Al-Aqsa rests with all the Palestinian people. Sabri appealed to the Palestinians, from the sea to the river, to be present at the Temple Mount and march towards it, stressing the need for all Palestinian society to unite in order to support Jerusalem and Al-Aqsa. He explained that the preoccupation of the Arab world with internal strife and civil wars does not absolve them of their responsibility towards Jerusalem, Al-Aqsa and Palestine. He pointed out that the occupation is null and void, and has no sovereignty or legitimacy, and it is to disappear, God willing, and Jerusalem, Al-Aqsa, and Palestine belong to us, and we will never give it up. Sabri called for urgent Arab and Islamic action to save Jerusalem and the holy sites and protect the Jerusalemites in particular and the Palestinians in general, from the attacks of the Israeli occupation forces and the masses of extremist settlers. He expressed Jerusalem's urgent need for a serious and effective Arab and Islamic stance capable of deterring and holding Israel accountable for its continued aggression against the holy city. Sabri urged the masses of Palestinians at home, the West Bank and Jerusalem not to leave Al-Aqsa Mosque alone in front of the machine of the Israeli occupation attacks. Clashes renewed on Sunday afternoon in the courtyards of the Holy Mosque between the Israeli occupation forces and the worshipers, after groups of settlers stormed Al-Aqsa Mosque amid tight security, as the security forces escalated their repression of the worshipers, who confronted, since the morning hours, about 850 settlers who stormed Al-Aqsa on the occasion of The so-called memory of the destruction of the Temple. Eyewitnesses reported that the Israeli occupation police stormed, after the noon prayer, the courtyards of the Haram and provided protection to about 60 settlers who stormed Al-Aqsa Mosque via the Mughrabi Gate Bridge. The occupation forces also stormed the Al-Qibli prayer hall for the third time this day and fired stun grenades at the people in I'tikaaf, while hundreds of its members deployed throughout Al-Aqsa Mosque to protect the groups of the intruders.
